Dan Bender, PE, President and CEO

As President and CEO, Dan is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of our company. 

Dan completed ACEC’s Senior Executive Institute program in 2015-16.  While working through this program, he developed the framework to structure our company for success and sustainability.  Dan co-founded Innovative Contracting and Engineering in 2016, building a company that puts our client’s needs first and at the same time providing a work environment where our team members have space to grow and freedoms to have a healthy balance between work and home.

Prior to starting our company, Dan spent 25 years as a civil engineer designing heavy infrastructure projects in Nevada, Arizona and Utah. Over those 25 years, Dan honed his skills as a designer and team leader.  Since 2010, Dan has been heavily involved in alternate delivery projects that require independent cost estimating services.  These projects have taken Dan all over the United States, working on DOT projects from coast to coast.

Dan graduated with a BSCE from Brigham Young University in 1992.  His education and experience provide our team with the working knowledge to control budgets, optimize schedules, manage risk, and successfully deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
