Boulder City Bypass I-11; RTC

Las Vegas and Phoenix are the only two cities in the nation with populations of more than one million people that are not currently linked by an interstate. Once constructed, the first phase of Interstate 11 will relieve congestion, improve safety, and enhance travel and commerce between Arizona and Nevada. The specific project improvements included 12.5 miles of new 4-lane freeway, 11 bridge structures, concrete pavement throughout, a northbound truck climbing lane, many sign structures and retaining walls, and 2 new interchanges, one at Railroad Pass, and one at the I-515. ICE Teams provided ICE services on this $283 Million freeway construction project. Our cost estimating team on that project included Abdi Fatemi, Chris Wilson, and Dan Bender. Tom Gott was our Lead Scheduler. The services we provided on that project included production-based cost estimates using the HCSS Heavy Bid software, construction scheduling using Primavera P6, and we provided constructability reviews and alternative delivery process consulting when requested.
