Firm History

Innovative Contracting & Engineering (ICE Teams) was formed in 2016, with the goal of helping our clients solve the most complicated construction challenges. The firm was founded by Chris Wilson, a former contractor with over 15 years of heavy civil construction experience armed with an MBA (emphasis on Risk Management), and Dan Bender, a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience designing heavy civil/infrastructure projects. Blending construction expertise and design know-how has proved to be a valuable combination. Our team has added value and innovations to every project we’ve worked on since opening our doors.

In 2016-17, ICE Teams worked on projects in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, California, Idaho, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, and Louisiana. Initially, our primary focus was on CMAR or CM/GC pre-construction services. However, we have found that the cost estimating, scheduling, risk management and constructability services we provide are also needed on design/bid/build, P3, and design-build projects.

We are enthusiastic about adding innovations to your projects. When starting a new project, we typically look for alternate techniques for construction, and we look for opportunities to save time through alternative phasing/sequencing. With this approach, our team gets a fresh look at the project, and we take advantage of every available innovation. Our goal with every project is to identify Innovations You Can Build!
