Kurt R. Segler Water Reclamation Facility – Phase 4 Project

The City of Henderson's Kurt R. Segler Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) – Phase 4 Project significantly enhanced the plant's capacity and operational efficiency. Utilizing the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method, The City of Henderson contracted with McCarthy construction company as the CMAR, GC Wallace providing design, and ICE Teams delivering ICE Services.  The project encompassed extensive modifications and upgrades to existing facilities. Key improvements included: grit piping replacement, vacuum system modifications, influent pump station expansion, new blowers and associated piping, a new bio-nutrient removal (BNR) basin, BNR and clarifier splitter upgrades, a new clarifier, RAS/WAS pump station upgrades, new tertiary filters, a shade structure, comprehensive electrical and PLC upgrades, and various site improvements. Our team provided critical independent cost estimating support through production-based cost estimating, construction scheduling, constructability reviews, risk management, and innovations vetting and development, ensuring successful project execution at a cost that represents fair-market pricing.
